How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:

    Job Title: Class 1 Driver (Tramping)
    Location: Banbury
    Employment Type: Temporary, Monday to Friday

    Overview
    We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Class 1 (HGV) Drivers for tramping work based in Banbury. This role involves Monday to Friday work with early morning start times and regular nights out during the week. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong time management, and a commitment to safe and efficient driving.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Operating a Class 1 (HGV) vehicle safely and efficiently

    * Completing scheduled deliveries and collections as required

    * Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects

    * Ensuring compliance with all driving hours, road transport, and health & safety regulations

    * Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery documentation

    * Representing the company in a professional manner when interacting with customers and clients

    Working Hours

    * Monday to Friday

    * Typical start times between 04:00 and 06:00

    * Tramping required during the week

    Pay & Benefits

    * £16.25 – £23.87 per hour, depending on experience

    * £25 per night out allowance

    * Paid induction day required prior to commencing work

    Requirements

    * Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence

    * Valid Driver CPC qualification

    * Valid Digital Tachograph card

    * Previous Class 1 & 2 driving experience required with a minimum of 2 years experience

    * Good understanding of UK driving regulations and compliance

    Additional Information
    A paid induction day will be required before starting the role to ensure drivers are fully familiar with company procedures and expectation
