    Job description

    Currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Tutor to join a Secondary school in Oldham, working on a 1:1 basis within their Hearing Resource Centre. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a student’s educational journey by providing tailored, consistent support. This role would run until the end of the Academic Year.

    The ideal candidate will:

    * Have experience using British Sign Language (BSL) and Sign Supported English (SSE)

    * Be confident supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

    * Ideally have experience working with young people with Autism and Down Syndrome

    * Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

    * Be committed to supporting both the academic and personal development of the student

    The role involves working closely with the student, teaching staff, and the wider support team to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
