    Smile Education are proud to be representing The Endeavour Multi Academy Trust in their search for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work within one of their secondary special schools based in Tamworth.

    About the School
    This is a generic co-educational special school for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The secondary provision caters for students aged 11–19 years with a range of special educational needs, including autism, challenging behaviours, and learning disabilities.

    Role Responsibilities:

    Support students aged 11–19 with a range of SEN needs in both classroom and one-to-one settings
    Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored and engaging learning activities
    Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
    Implement effective behaviour management strategies
    Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environmentRequirements:

    A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (essential)
    Recent experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly autism, challenging behaviours, and learning disabilities
    Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
    A passion for supporting children with additional needs
    A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
    An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
    Ability to provide a minimum of two references covering the past two years, with at least one commenting on your interaction with childrenWhat We Offer:
