The role of a Cover Supervisor is to cover lessons in the absence of a teacher, provide support to students, offer guidance and supervise throughout the school day.
You will have sole responsibility for the classroom, need to ensure that students are
on task and will be expected to manage the lesson appropriately.
You will gain experience in different secondary schools and develop knowledge of
working with different groups of children in varying environments.
This role would suit an individual who wants to work within an education environment and is considering a career as a teacher or teaching assistant.
