Are you reliable, motivated, and looking for a hands-on role within a busy builders’ merchant yard? We’re looking for a Timber Yard Operative to join our team and support the smooth running of our yard operations.
About the Role
As a Timber Yard Operative, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy yard. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and controlling all stock movement in and out of the branch
Collating customer orders accurately
Loading and unloading company and supplier vehicles
Supporting stock control to ensure product availability and quality
Upholding high standards of Health & Safety, manual handling, and yard security
Providing excellent customer service
What We’re Looking For
High level of self-motivation
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong communication skills
Good physical fitness
Ability to work to deadlines
Reliability, good timekeeping, and strong attendance
Forklift licence/experience required
Experience with building materials or in a similar role is desirable
