How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Urban Designer
    Warrington (Office Based,)
    £40,000 - £50,000 + £4,000 Car Allowance + Pension + Private Healthcare + Annual Bonus

    Are you an Designer with a background in residential masterplanning looking to join a fast-growing housebuilder?

    Are you looking for an opportunity to play a key role in shaping high-quality housing developments while progressing your career within a dynamic and ambitious team?

    This is an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding residential developer, delivering affordable and open market housing schemes across Greater Manchester.

    The successful candidate will join a close-knit technical team and play a key role in the design and delivery of large-scale residential developments, with a strong focus on urban design and masterplanning.

    In this position, you will be responsible for producing masterplans, developing feasibility layouts, and working closely with engineers and internal teams to ensure schemes are both creative and commercially viable.

    This role would ideally suit a Designer with residential experience looking to step into a more senior position, or an experienced Urban Designer seeking long-term progression within a growing developer.

    The Role:
    * Producing residential masterplans and housing layouts
    * Developing feasibility and constraints plans for new sites
    * Collaborating with planning and commercial teams to ensure scheme viability
    * Producing technical drawings using AutoCAD
    * Attending occasional site visits to assess constraints and progress

    The Person:
    * Experience in residential design or masterplanning (housebuilder or consultancy)
    * Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
    * Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
    * Understanding of urban design principles
