How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Construction Health and Safety Manager required to join a well-established construction consultancy. You will represent the client and support the team in overseeing the implementation of Health and Safety management across a major design and build construction site in Bedfordshire.

    Construction Health and Safety Manager duties include:

    * Ensuring client compliance with statutory Health and Safety requirements.

    * Strengthening construction safety practices through active on-site involvement.

    * Supporting the development of project-specific safety programmes as needed.

    * Identifying and managing high-risk activities across all project stages.

    * Establishing clear Health and Safety reporting and communication processes.

    * Engaging in day-to-day Health and Safety management activities.

    * Conducting independent Health and Safety audits on all aspects of construction management.

    Qualifications

    * You will ideally hold CertIOSH or equivalent and be supported to gain CMIOSH status.

    * Progressing with further safety qualifications, with Diploma level already attained.

    Experience

    * Demonstrable experience providing client-side health and safety services within the construction or property industry preferred.

    * Experience working under the CDM Regulations, carrying out roles such as CDM Advisor.

    * Working knowledge of large scale/complex projects.

    This Construction Health and Safety Manager role is based on-site in Bedfordshire. The salary is up to £65,000 depending on experience, plus a full benefits package including car allowance, healthcare, pension and a generous holiday allowance with the option to purchase up to five additional days
