    Job description

    Warehouse Supervisor - Permanent Role

    Bradford Distribution Centre

    Monday to Friday | 06:00 - 15:00

    Starting salary: £30,000

    We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their busy Distribution Centre in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on supervisor who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within a fast-paced logistics environment.

    The Role

    As Warehouse Supervisor, you will support the DC Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations while mentoring and developing the warehouse team. You'll play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, safety compliance, and performance standards across the site.

    Key Responsibilities

    Supervise and coordinate day-to-day DC operations
    Lead, support, mentor, and develop warehouse operatives
    Manage resource planning, holiday cover, and shift coordination
    Maintain structured end-of-day and shift handover reporting
    Monitor KPIs and implement improvements where required
    Ensure PO and STO activity is completed within company guidelines
    Support site Health & Safety standards and incident reporting processes
    Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, problem-solving tools)
    Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

    About You

    We're looking for someone proactive, approachable, and confident in making decisions within a warehouse environment.

    You will ideally have:

    At least 5 years' experience within a distribution centre or similar setting
    Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
    Strong understanding of inbound and outbound logistics
    Knowledge of post-Brexit compliance requirements
    Experience using SAP
    Good IT skills (Word & Excel)
    Excellent communication skills
    A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team when needed
