Support Students to Thrive in Secondary Education
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Hastings, supporting students across the school to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with young people, and is ready to start ASAP in a rewarding school-based role.
Responsibilities
Supporting students in lessons across the secondary age range
Working closely with teachers to deliver classroom learning
Providing 1:1 and small-group support where needed
Encouraging positive behaviour and student engagement
Supporting students’ emotional wellbeing and confidence
Assisting with classroom preparation and daily school routines
Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams
Training & Career Development
Ongoing support and guidance from experienced school staff
Opportunity to develop classroom management and behaviour support skills
Valuable experience for those considering teaching or long-term school-based careers
Potential for progression within education settings
Candidate Profile
Patient, proactive, and adaptable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident supporting secondary-aged students
Able to build positive relationships with staff and pupils
Previous school or youth work experience is desirable but not essential
A genuine passion for supporting young people in education
Salary & Benefits
£100 – £115 per day
