How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEMH Teaching Assistant - Year 5
    Harrow, HA3 (commutable from Kenton, Wealdstone, Queensbury, Stanmore, Harrow & Wealdstone)
    £110-£120 per day
    Start Date: April 2026
    Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

    Long Term Futures is seeking a calm, positive and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with social, emotional and behavioural needs in a supportive Harrow primary school.
    This role is ideal for someone who can build strong relationships, remain composed under pressure and provide consistent, structured support to help the pupil regulate emotions and engage in learning.

    About the Role
    Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, your responsibilities will include:
    * Providing consistent 1:1 SEMH support throughout the school day
    * Supporting emotional regulation using calm, patient and trauma-informed approaches
    * Helping the pupil manage behaviour, transitions and classroom expectations
    * Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult
    * Encouraging engagement with learning across the KS2 curriculum
    * Supporting social skills, confidence and resilience
    * Implementing behaviour strategies and feeding back to staff
    This is a rewarding role where your ability to stay calm, consistent and positive will have a direct impact on the pupil's progress and wellbeing.
