About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Teamcenter Developer to join a major PLM transformation and migration programme. This position plays a critical role in shaping and executing complex data migration strategies, ensuring the robust, secure and scalable movement of engineering data across enterprise systems.
You will bring deep hands‑on expertise in Teamcenter Unified Architecture, advanced customisation, and end‑to‑end migration delivery. This is a highly technical role suited to someone who thrives in complex engineering environments and enjoys solving large‑scale PLM data challenges.
What You’ll Do
* Design and implement end‑to‑end migration strategies, including extraction, transformation, loading and validation.
* Develop custom migration utilities and automation using ITK, SOA, Java, C/C++, Shell/Python.
* Drive data quality through cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, and verification.
* Ensure integrity, stability, and performance of Teamcenter environments throughout migration phases.
* Collaborate closely with architecture, infrastructure, functional and QA teams to ensure smooth planning, cutover and validation.
* Troubleshoot issues linked to data, configuration, customisations and integrations.
* Produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation, test evidence and migration playbooks.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills
* Strong, hands‑on experience in Teamcenter UA
* Proficiency in BMIDE (data model configuration, deployments)
* Advanced customisation using ITK (C/C++), SOA, RAC & AWC
* Proven experience in Teamcenter data migration (ETL, TcXML/PLMXML import/export, mapping, validation)
* Strong programming capability: Java, C/C++, Shell/Python for custom migration tooling
* Database expertise (Oracle / SQL Server), strong query optimisation skills
* Knowledge of REST & SOA APIs, integration frameworks
* Excellent debugging, analytical and problem‑solving skills
Desirable
* Experience working on legacy Teamcenter Enterprise migrations
* Workflow design, process automation, and custom BMIDE extensions
* Strong documentation and technical writing skills
