We are seeking 2 experienced Project Management professionals to support project and programme initiation at AWE, delivering high-impact outcomes for complex Government initiatives.
The Role:
You will play a critical role in enabling project and programme initiations by coordinating pre-Concept studies, exploring opportunities, and developing strategic proposals for Investment Approval. You will help define scope, schedule, and cost windows, determine appropriate delivery methodologies, and secure sanction to proceed, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

Project Categorisation Forms
Handover of initiation deliverables to the Portfolio Entry team
Mandatory Requirements:
DV clearance - candidates without it will not be considered
Minimum 2 years' experience delivering projects at Concept stages
Experience delivering projects within Government
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Delivery within complex projects and systems
Business case development for complex and ambiguous problems
Proposal management and chartership
Portfolio management experience
Collaborative decision-making and team problem-solving
Working Arrangements:
Hybrid working, with at least 1 day/week on-site at AWE Aldermaston
Occasional full-time site attendance may be required for classified initiatives
Site pass access to CACS facilities (external IT access unavailable)
9-day fortnight
