    Behaviour Mentor – Secondary SEN School
    Behaviour Mentor (SEN Setting) – Full Time
    Location: B60
    Pay: £95 – £120 per day (based on experience)
    Contract: Full-time, Monday–Friday until the end of the academic year

    Smile Education is proud to be supporting a welcoming secondary SEN school in B60 that is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team.

    This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs, particularly those who require behavioural and emotional support. The role involves working closely with pupils to promote positive behaviour, engagement in learning, and personal development.

    The Role
    Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including SEMH and Autism.
    Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support.
    Implement behaviour management strategies consistently.
    Support pupils in regulating emotions and developing coping strategies.
    Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement.
    Work alongside teaching staff to support learning in the classroom.
    Help de-escalate challenging situations in a calm and professional manner.
    Monitor and report on pupil behaviour and progress.
    Contribute to a safe, structured, and supportive school environment.
    Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing at all times.About the School

    Pupils benefit from consistency, patience, and positive role models.Requirements
    Experience working with children or young people with SEN or behavioural needs.
    Experience supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).
    Previous experience in a school or alternative provision setting (desirable).
    Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
    Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
    Ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
    Reliable and committed to full-time work.
    Able to provide at least two references covering the last two years.
    Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).This is a strong opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who require additional behavioural and emotional support.
