How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:

    The Commercial Pricing Specialist plays a key role in supporting commercial and procurement activities by developing and maintaining pricing and costing models across products and services. The Commercial Pricing Specialist will work closely with Sales, Finance, and operational teams to ensure pricing aligns with market conditions, margin targets, and overall business strategy.

    This Commercial Pricing Specialist position involves analysing Bill of Material (BoM) costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting improvements to pricing structures and governance. You will contribute to the development of pricing frameworks, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the quotation process.

    The Commercial Pricing Specialist will also support bid and tender activities, analysing supplier proposals, contributing to negotiations, and ensuring value for money. In addition, you’ll work alongside stakeholders to develop commercial strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.

    A key part of the Commercial Pricing Specialist role is data analysis—monitoring pricing performance, sales trends, and margins to identify risks and opportunities. You’ll produce reports and insights to support business decision-making and act as a trusted advisor across multiple teams.

    The Commercial Pricing Specialist will also focus on process improvement, helping to enhance pricing tools, governance, and overall efficiency across the business.

    Skills & Experience:

    * Strong financial modelling and pricing analysis skills

    * Ability to interpret data and provide clear, actionable insights

    * Advanced Excel and strong IT skills (BI tools desirable)

    * Understanding of supply chain dynamics and cost drivers

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines

    * Experience in tendering, procurement, or commercial environments (preferred)

    * Industry experience within engineering, construction, or similar sectors (advantageous)
