How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CAD Engineer
    Lift Industry, Elevator Design
    Sidcup, Southeast London (Hybrid Working)

    Basic Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 p.a (Depending on Experience)

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking a technically strong CAD Engineer to join a leading lift engineering company.

    We’re looking for someone with experience on a lift engineering design team who understands passenger lift systems, compliance requirements, and how to coordinate effectively across sales, engineering, and clients.

    Commutable from: Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Orpington, Dartford, Swanley, Erith, Bromley, Gravesend, Welling, London, Grays, Beckenham

    The CAD Engineer Role

    You’ll be a key part of the design team, supporting lift projects from concept through to manufacture and installation.

    *

    Design-compliant, cost-effective passenger lift solutions

    *

    Work closely with Sales, Projects, Supply Chain and Installation teams

    *

    Produce tender and order-specific drawings in line with lift regulations

    *

    Create and check 3D models using BIM and CAD software

    *

    Manage drawings, BOMs and engineering changes within internal systems

    *

    Support engineering change processes and technical reviews

    *

    Assist with technical problem-solving and continuous improvement

    *

    Help maintain clear, standardised design documentation and procedures

    The Ideal CAD Engineer Candidate

    *

    Previous experience within a lift engineering design team

    *

    Strong BIM experience (essential)

    *

    AutoCAD experience (desirable)

    *

    Knowledge of lift regulations and technical standards

    *

    Highly organised with strong attention to detail

    *

    Comfortable collaborating across engineering and project teams
