The Role of Maintenance Engineer
We are recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment within the dairy sector. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role requiring both electrical and mechanical expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across all processes using IFS Service and Maintenance systems
Responding to breakdowns and performing reactive maintenance on plant and equipment
Diagnosing faults efficiently and ensuring all repairs are completed 'Right First Time'
Working safely on a range of process dairy equipment
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment reliability and performance
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled engineer with a strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Key requirements:
Time-served apprenticeship in an industrial/manufacturing environment
Multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical competence
Experience working on process or dairy equipment (desirable)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible approach to working days and night shifts
