Your background as an Electrical Design Engineer:
* Previous experience of working in an Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, or similar electrical engineering focused position.
* Any experience gained within the following types of industries would be beneficial – industrial engineering, rail, energy, marine, oil and gas, process engineering, power generation or similar.
* Be able to use AutoCAD to produce electrical designs, schematics, and electrical equipment layouts.
* Be able to work collaboratively with production teams and customers from concept to commissioning to successfully deliver projects.
* You will hold a recognised electrical engineering qualified e.g., apprenticeship, HNC, HND, degree etc..
Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
* You will take a customer electrical engineering project from the initial specification stage, through to a fully developed electrical design, provide production support, and customer acceptance tests (no travel required) where necessary.
* Produce schematics and electrical equipment layouts using AutoCAD.
* Produce cable calculations using specific software tools (training can be provided on this).
* You will work closely and collaboratively with production and customers throughout projects from concept to commissioning.
