The Role
As a Bandsaw Operator, you will be responsible for cutting steel to precise specifications while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Operate bandsaw machinery to cut steel materials accurately
*
Read and interpret job sheets, measurements, and technical specifications
*
Use a variety of hand tools safely and effectively
*
Operate an overhead crane to move steel materials (training refresh available if required)
*
Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
*
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
*
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Requirements
*
Proven experience working in the steel industry
*
Previous experience operating a bandsaw
*
Competent in the use of hand tools
*
Experience operating an overhead crane
*
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*
Good understanding of workplace health & safety
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
*
Valid overhead crane licence/certification
*
Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
