    Graduate Aspiring Educational Psychologist
    Location: Lambeth, South London
    Contract: Full-time | Term-time only
    Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay: £108 per day

    About the School

    A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated Pastoral & Learning Support Assistant / Aspiring Educational Psychologist to join their supportive team.

    The school caters to pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and has a strong focus on supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those requiring additional pastoral support. Some pupils may experience difficulties with emotional regulation, behaviour or engagement in learning, and benefit from consistent, nurturing support.
    Staff work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team and external professionals to create a safe, structured and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

    This role is ideal for graduates or aspiring practitioners looking to gain practical experience working with children in an educational and therapeutic setting.

    The Role

    As a Pastoral & Learning Support Assistant, you will:

    Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may need additional emotional and behavioural support
    Support children’s social, emotional and mental health development
    Encourage engagement, confidence and positive learning behaviours
    Provide 1:1 and small-group support both inside and outside the classroom
    Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and pastoral staff to implement support strategies
    Promote emotional regulation, resilience and positive behaviour
    Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive learning environmentThis role provides valuable experience in early intervention, behaviour support and child development within a primary school setting.
