Permit Officer

Principal People are currently recruiting for a Permit Officer in partnership with a well renowned Nuclear sector Infrastructure organisation for a 12-month Contract based near Wolverhampton who are looking to pay the successful candidate a day rate of £(Apply online only)/day. There will also be requirement for certain shift-based requirements for this role (Early/Evening).
Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, the successful Permit Officer will take charge within the permit office, controlling of admittance to site for contractors, issuing permits for isolation works, overseeing of undergoing works within relevant areas, reviewing of risk assessments and making sure individuals are authorised to carry out relevant works. the Health and Safety function to maintain a compliant and positive health and safety culture across the organisation and operations undertaking basic risk assessments, health and safety audits, assisting with general health and safety queries and offer overall health hand safety advice and support to the H&S function for this period.
The Successful Permit Officer will hold:
* Any electrical based qualification are desirable
* Any safety-based qualifications are desirable
* Have previous experience as a Permit Officer or closely related responsibilities
* Any electrical isolation or systems experience highly desirable
* Be flexible and open to occasional shift-based requirements
* Be available at short notice ideally (maximum 4 weeks notice)
