How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Summary

This Launch Engineer position is focused on manufacturing readiness and launch robustness, ensuring engineering intent is manufacturable, repeatable, and controlled at build-station level. The role supports build execution, process definition, manufacturability assessment, and issue closure across all build phases through to series handover.

    Role & Responsibilities

Execute station-based manufacturability and process readiness assessments across virtual, prototype, and pre-production builds, covering joining and fastening strategies, build sequence, tooling and fixture suitability, and bill of material maturity.
The Launch Engineer will define, release, and control key launch deliverables including process flow, torque definitions, critical characteristics, tooling readiness, tooling registers, perceived quality standards, and Build Book content.
Identify, classify, and manage manufacturing, assembly, and build-related issues through containment, root cause identification, and validation of corrective actions.
Ensure deviations and concessions are technically assessed, authorised, and fully traceable throughout the launch process.
    Requirements of the Role

Experience in manufacturing, launch, or production engineering, with a strong technical understanding of assembly processes, tooling systems, and build sequencing.
Demonstrated ownership of manufacturability assessment and issue resolution within automotive, specialist, or low-volume vehicle manufacturing environments.
Exposure to prototype and pre-production build phases, alongside familiarity with structured problem-solving and manufacturing risk management techniques.
A successful Launch Engineer will be technically rigorous, detail-driven, structured, pragmatic, and comfortable influencing cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
