    Teaching Assistants – SEND School, Newark

    Job Title: Teaching Assistant – SEND
    Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm
    Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

    About the Role:

    We are seeking committed and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a wide range of SEND in Newark. Roles include classroom support, 1:1 interventions, and small group work, helping children achieve their educational and personal goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    *

    Support pupils in 1:1 or small group settings.

    *

    Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).

    *

    Help deliver differentiated learning activities and practical lessons.

    *

    Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCo.

    *

    Promote independence, social skills, and positive behaviour.

    Ideal Candidate:

    *

    Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school or specialist setting.

    *

    Patience, resilience, and adaptability.

    *

    Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    *

    Relevant SEND or Teaching Assistant qualifications preferred but not essential.

    *

    Passion for helping children with additional needs thrive.
