How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Engineer / Manager - Solar PV

    Commutable from Hull, Beverley, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Market Weighton, Goole, or surrounding areas

    This well-established company are building a reputable name within the renewable energy sector, specialising in the design, construction and operations of commercial and industrial solar PV, EV and battery storage projects across the UK. With ambitious plans to scale up and expand into larger, more exciting ventures, they are now seeking an ambitious Project Engineer / Manager to join their passionate team to fuel future success.

    In this role, the Project Engineer / Manager will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and successful delivery of C&I renewable projects. This will include installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, with involvement in pre-start processes, CDM plans, delivery and management on site, commissioning, reporting on progress and being the point of contact for clients throughout.

    This role would suit candidates with experience managing commercial and industrial projects involving high-volume, fast-moving logistical steams. You should hold SSSTS or SMSTS, ideally relevant electrical qualifications and a full UK driving license. Previous experience working on Solar, EV or Battery Storage systems is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.

    The Role:

    Drive the delivery of commercial and industrial scale Solar PV, EV and Battery systems from enquiry through to completion
    Carry-out pre-start surveys and input during design stages
    Manage H&S and CDM on site ensuring regulations are adhered to
    Organise workforce, materials and equipment on site
    Act as the go-to contact throughout projects, maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and the installation team
    Office & site based work. Majority of work is in the North East / North and East of England and North - occasional nationwide travel
    The Person:

    Project Engineer / Manager
    Experience working within commercial and / or industrial environments
    Comfortable with high-volume, fast-moving logistical streams
    SSSTS / SMSTS or project management qualification
    Experience working within the solar PV sector is highly advantageous
