    Lead Developer – Full Stack

Norwich (Remote with weekly meet-ups - must be locally based)
    Salary: £60–75k (DOE)

An experienced, hands-on Lead Developer is required to join a growing UK and soon to be Norfolk based SaaS business. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys leading from the front—remaining actively involved in development while managing and mentoring a team of 5–8 developers.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of the development function as the team continues to scale. The business is evolving its structure, creating a balance between a core team focused on maintaining and enhancing existing platforms, alongside a new innovation-focused team driving forward new product development and ideas.

This role offers genuine influence over technical direction, team structure, and best practice within a collaborative, agile environment.

    The Role

    *

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5–8 developers, supporting their growth and delivery

    *

Remain hands-on, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software

    *

Help shape and scale the development team structure, supporting both maintenance and innovation streams

    *

Work closely with stakeholders to interpret requirements and translate them into technical solutions

    *

Champion clean, maintainable code and modern development practices

    *

Support agile processes, sprint planning, and continuous improvement

    *

Contribute to architectural decisions and integration platform development

    Skills & Experience Required

    *

Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET, SQL

    *

Solid front-end experience with JavaScript / TypeScript

    *

Proven experience leading or mentoring development teams

    *

    Experience working in Agile environments

    *

Strong understanding of software architecture and best practices

    *

Ability to balance hands-on coding with team leadership responsibilities

    *

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

    *

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    *

Passion for building high-quality, user-focused software

    Location Requirements

    *

Must be based within a commutable distance of Norfolk

    *

Currently remote, with Norwich meet-ups once per week

    *

Flexibility required as office presence may increase over time depending on business needs
