The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll have full responsibility for the Engineering function, ensuring outstanding standards of safety, compliance, reliability, and cost control.
You’ll lead, develop, and motivate a skilled HGV Engineering team while shaping strategies that support the operational and commercial needs of the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions directly impact performance, compliance, and customer experience.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience as an PSV Engineering Manager in a PCV environment
* Experience managing a large fleet or multi-site engineering operation
* Recognised engineering qualification (e.g. Level 3 HGV City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent)
* NEBOSH qualified
* Strong knowledge of DVSA standards, H&S legislation, and engineering processes
* Confident IT skills and attention to accurate reporting
* Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends or anti-social hours when required
Desirable
* CPC qualification (or working towards), ideally Transport Manager
* Experience as a named individual on an Operator’s Licence
