How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    If you have experience in employer engagement, recruitment, partnerships, or working with young people, this is your chance to step into a role with real impact.

    The Role

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Supporting Employability Coaches, you will:

    * Build and maintain strong, long-term employer partnerships, acting as the main point of contact throughout placements

    * Source and secure high-quality work experience opportunities across a range of sectors

    * Work closely with curriculum teams to embed work experience into study programmes

    * Drive student engagement, participation, and completion, ensuring targets are met

    * Carry out health & safety checks and risk assessments to ensure safe and compliant placements

    * Use systems and data to track performance, monitor progress, and drive improvement (knowledge of Navigate is an advantage)

    * Promote opportunities to students and motivate them to take ownership of their work experience journey

    Who We’re Looking For

    You could come from:

    * Employer engagement or business development

    * Recruitment or sales

    * Apprenticeships or early careers

    * Youth work or employability programmes

    What matters most is that you:

    * Have experience working with young people (16–19) or similar groups

    * Can build relationships quickly with employers and stakeholders

    * Are confident influencing both students and staff

    * Are proactive, organised, and solutions-focused

    * Understand the importance of safeguarding and student wellbeing
