The Role
As an Engineering Moderator (Fitting & Assembly – T Level), you will be responsible for ensuring consistency and quality in assessment across providers delivering this pathway.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Conducting provider visits and moderation activities
* Reviewing and validating marking decisions against national standards
* Supporting providers with guidance on assessment and quality requirements
* Producing detailed reports with feedback on assessment practices and learner evidence
* Identifying potential risks and areas for improvement in delivery and assessment
* Taking part in training and standardisation activities to ensure consistency

Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced and credible engineering professional with strong technical expertise in fitting and assembly.
You will ideally have:
* Significant experience within engineering or manufacturing, particularly fitting and assembly
* Understanding of technical education, assessment, or quality assurance processes
* Experience in assessment, verification, moderation, or training (desirable)
* Strong written skills with the ability to produce clear and detailed reports
* Excellent communication skills and confidence working with training providers
* The ability to work independently while maintaining high standards and compliance
