How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: HGV Driver (Class 1) Days Or Nights– Ad Hoc Work
    Location: Cheltenham and Surrounding Areas
    Job Type: Ad Hoc / Flexible Shifts
    Pay Rate: Days £16.00 – £18.00 per hour PAYE / Nights £17.00 – £19.00 per hour PAYE

    Job Overview
    We are currently seeking professional and flexible HGV Class 1 Days or Nights Drivers for clients across the Gloucestershire area. Ideal for drivers looking for Ad hoc or ongoing work casual, temporary, part-time, or fill-in shifts, this role offers the chance to work with a variety of reputable clients on a flexible schedule.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Carrying out scheduled deliveries or collections as required
    * Ensuring vehicles are operated safely and within legal compliance
    * Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
    * Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery logs
    * Representing the company and clients in a professional manner
    Requirements
    * Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
    * Full Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
    * No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, or IN endorsements)
    * A good understanding of drivers’ hours regulations
    * Reliability and flexibility to accept short-notice shifts
    * Min 6 months Class 1 driving experience preferable
