Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for a Design Engineer by a specialist manufacturing business. As the ideal candidate you will have experience of working in complex manufacturing environments creating designs of electro-mechanical systems and helping to control and deliver projects through engineering change , prototype build , test and delivery phases.
The design projects are a real mix of new product development and modification and improvement projects on existing product lines. Our client is also interested in applications from mechanically biased engineers or electrically orientated engineers and could adapt the role to suit either discipline.
Daily Duties to Include:
Product Design using 3D CAD
Bill of materials maintenance within MRP system.
New Bill of Materials generation within MRP System.
New purchased part number set up .
PCO (Product Change Order) generation, release and distribution for engineering related activities.
Attend team meetings to understand workload and assist in priority request actioning.
Liaise with cross functional teams to take on board information for action requests and also communicate out changes implemented to relevant teams.
Support Continuous improvement activities
Support NPI and NPD activities
