The role - Learning Support Assistant
A friendly and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Camden is seeking to appoint a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. In this role, you will support students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and stay engaged in lessons.
Your responsibilities will include working closely with class teachers to provide tailored support, assisting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, and helping to manage behaviour and engagement within the classroom. You will play a key role in building students' confidence, promoting independence, and supporting their overall academic progress.
The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in supporting young people. Previous experience working with children or within an educational setting is desirable but not essential. A valid DBS on the update service is required for this position.
