Due to continued success and growth, JEM Property Services Group Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced General Maintenance Operative to join our team in Portsmouth.
Job Summary
We are looking for a committed individual to join our team as a Multi Trade operative preferably with reactive / responsive maintenance experience. The successful applicant will be a team player who can also work on their own. Must be able to work to high standards, both in works delivered and customer/client relations. Have a can do attitude and be flexible. Possess excellent communication skills, report writing and experience of working from a PDA.
Multi Trade Operative Responsibilities and Duties
* Liaising with the scheduling team and Operations Manager.
* Responding to emergency and planned call outs.
Multi Trade Operative Qualifications and Key Skills
* Plumbing - Fault finding and repairs on plumbing – toilets, taps, sinks, leaks and blockages. Escape of water including making safe and repairs.
* Carpentry – Repairs and install of doors and door furniture including panic bars, handles, locks and door closers.
* Flooring inc boarding, vinyl and carpet tiling.
* Tiling and patch plastering would be an advantage.
* Bathroom installasions - must be experienced in installing Aquapanels
* External gates and fencing install and repairs.
* Decorating skills.
* General maintenance repairs.
* Weekend working may be required..
Ideally the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience over multiple maintenance disciplines with a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience within a similar role.
Hold formal trade qualifications – plumbing, Unvented cert, carpentry
Able to pass or hold a current DRB security check.
Clean driving licence.
A generous package is offered dependant on experience, including health insurance ( on completion of qualifying period)
Overtime is available.
Company van, fuel card, phone and uniform supplied.
