We’re looking for an experienced Overhead Crane Operator / Bandsaw Operative to join a busy steel environment in Wednesbury.
What You’ll Do
* Operate overhead cranes to unload goods and load material onto saws
* Run and maintain bandsaws, including blade changes and lubrication
* Measure materials accurately using tape measures and rulers
* Handle loading/unloading when required
* Keep delivery notes and job records updated
* Wrap, label and prepare material for dispatch
* Support customer collections and carrier shipments
* Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow all H&S procedures
* Work as part of the team and support new starters
What You Need
* 2+ years steel industry experience
* 1+ year bandsaw experience
* 1+ year overhead crane experience
* Good basic numeracy
* Able to follow written and verbal instructions
* Team player with a reliable work ethic
