Fabrication Estimator

Bennett & Game Recruitment are currently working with a well-established fabrication and engineering company who are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication Estimator to join their team.

This role would suit an estimator with a strong fabrication and welding background, capable of producing accurate estimates for fabrication and site installation works, along with detailed material take-offs and tender submissions.

Monday to Friday working pattern
Hours of work as required for the proper execution of dutiesKey responsibilities include:

Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates
Preparing detailed material take-offs, including proprietary items
Producing and submitting tender returns and final offer letters using standard templates
Pricing site installation works, considering labour, materials, plant, and overheads
Conducting site visits to assess project scope and gather relevant information for pricing
Liaising with customers and internal teams to clarify project requirements and pricing details
Maintaining and updating pricing documentation using Excel and Word
Supporting the project team with cost breakdowns and commercial insightRequired Skills & Experience

Fabrication background (light to medium fabrication essential; heavy fabrication experience advantageous)
Experience welding and fabricating full assemblies
Strong experience working on the shop floor within an engineering or fabrication environment
Proven experience producing material take-offs, including proprietary items
Knowledge of site installation pricing and site-based cost estimation
Experience preparing tender submissions and offer letters
Proficient in Excel and Word
Strong communication skills
