How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Fire Door Site Manager
    Sheffield
    45,000 – 50,000 + package

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Door Site Manager to join a well-established and growing fire protection contractor delivering works across Sheffield and surrounding areas.

    This is a full-time, permanent position offering long-term stability, a strong pipeline of secured work, and the opportunity to manage key fire door projects within social housing and commercial environments.

    The Role

    As Fire Door Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of fire door installation and remedial works across multiple sites. This is a client-facing, fully off-the-tools role requiring strong organisation, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage operatives and programmes effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple fire door projects

    * Supervise teams of fire door installers and subcontractors (typically 6–10 operatives)

    * Ensure all works are delivered in line with fire safety regulations and compliance standards

    * Review fire door reports, drawings, and specifications to ensure correct installation methods

    * Coordinate materials, deliveries, and site logistics

    * Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure full health & safety compliance

    * Carry out quality inspections, audits, and snagging of fire door installations

    * Act as the main point of contact for clients, residents, and stakeholders

    * Manage programmes to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

    * Complete site documentation including RAMS, progress reports, and compliance records

    Requirements

    * Proven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor within fire doors or passive fire protection

    * Strong technical knowledge of fire door installation, remedials, and compliance (BM TRADA, FIRAS, IFC standards)

    * Ability to read and interpret drawings and fire door schedules

    * Experience working within social housing or occupied properties

    * Strong client-facing and communication skills

    * SMSTS or SSSTS

    * CSCS Card

    * Full UK Driving Licence

    Desirable

    * FIRAS or BM TRADA accreditation

    * Experience managing multiple sites or contracts

    * Additional passive fire knowledge (fire stopping, compartmentation)
