Location: South Midlands
Contract: Mid-April 2026 – Dec / Jan 2027 - Possible extension
Site Based: 5 days per week
Project & Role Overview
A wastewater treatment works in the South Midlands is undergoing a significant upgrade to expand the existing facility and increase treatment capacity. The works involve the installation of new process treatment equipment, tertiary treatment systems, chemical dosing plant and associated electrical and ICA integration into the existing operational site.
A MEICA Site Lead is required to take responsibility for the safe and coordinated delivery of all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control works during the construction phase. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and civil delivery team, the role will oversee MEICA installation, integration and commissioning readiness across the project.
The position will manage the MEICA supply chain, ensure effective coordination between disciplines and support the successful transition into testing, commissioning and final asset handover.
Core Duties
• Lead the safe delivery of all MEICA installation activities across the project
• Manage MEICA subcontractors ensuring works are delivered to programme, quality and safety standards
• Coordinate closely with the civil delivery team to manage installation interfaces across disciplines
• Oversee installation of mechanical plant, electrical systems and ICA integration within the operational works
• Ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are implemented and inspection hold points are managed
• Monitor site progress and resolve installation or technical issues impacting delivery
• Lead MEICA readiness for commissioning including inspection, testing and defect resolution
• Support factory and site acceptance testing and integrated commissioning activities
• Ensure quality records, commissioning documentation and handover information are completed
• Maintain effective communication with the project leadership team and client representatives
