    Job description

    Quality Inspector
    Coventry £25,000 + benefits package
    Full-time,
    Monday to Friday (day shift)
    3-6m FTC
     
    Will require Security Clearance.
     
    We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established global engineering and manufacturing organisation that specialises in advanced vehicle systems and protective technologies for defence and security applications.
     
    This role sits within a specialist division responsible for vehicle systems integration, technical services, and long-term support programmes for complex vehicle platforms.
    The team has extensive experience delivering large-scale vehicle integration programmes and engineering support services across a wide range of defence platforms. They work closely with major customers to deliver complete integration, maintenance, and engineering solutions for protected mobility fleets.
     
    This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly experienced team where you will play a key role in ensuring product quality, compliance, and traceability across a variety of engineering and manufacturing activities.
     
    Key Responsibilities
     
    Quality Inspection & Compliance

    Carry out Goods In and Goods Out inspections to ensure supplied and internally manufactured products meet drawings and technical specifications. - Ensure all relevant standards, specifications, and procedures are met during inspection activities. - Conduct product conformity inspections against engineering drawings and supporting documentation. - Utilise appropriate inspection tools, gauges, and measurement equipment. Quality Control & Reporting

    Record, input, and maintain quality traceability data. - Review inspection findings and report on product conformity including methods, tolerances, and specifications. - Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques where required to support product quality monitoring. - Communicate inspection results and quality performance to relevant internal stakeholders. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

    Conduct process audits where required to support quality assurance activities. - Raise non-conformance reports and ensure non-conforming materials are controlled and segregated appropriately. - Approve products for release following successful inspection. - Work closely with production teams to support quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives. The Person / Qualifications

    Experience working within a quality inspection or quality control role in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
    Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
    Understanding of inspection techniques and measurement tools used within engineering or manufacturing.
    Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    Awareness of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation within an industrial setting.
    Knowledge of AQAP standards or defence-related quality standards would be advantageous, though training can be provided.
