    Assistant Support Worker

    We currently have part time Assistant Support Worker positions available at our registered care home in Hoddesdon.

    Haselwood Avenue is a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities. We provide personalised support that includes personal care, hoisting, meal preparation, and assistance with medication, ensuring every individual feels valued and respected.

    What You Will Do

    As an Assistant Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live as independently as possible. Your responsibilities will include:

    Supporting with personal care in a way that upholds dignity and respect.
    Assisting with the safe administration of medication.
    Encouraging and teaching life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting to promote independence.
    Organising trips to local amenities, helping residents feel included in their community.
    Supporting residents to achieve personal goals and aspirations.
    Following tailored support plans and risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing.You will work collaboratively with colleagues and residents, building meaningful relationships that make a real difference. Your role is not only about providing care but also about fostering confidence and inclusion, enabling individuals to thrive in their own homes or supported housing.

You will need to understand and respond to the needs and wishes of vulnerable adults, using a variety of communication methods tailored to each person.     Please note: You must be comfortable working shifts to be considered for this role.

    £13,104 per annum for a 20-hour week contract (£12.60 per hour).
