Hill McGlynn is working in partnership with a well-established construction consultancy based in West Malling that is looking to recruit a Design Technician / Coordinator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD skills who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking construction environment.
The Role
As a Design Technician / Coordinator, you will support the design and project teams by producing and coordinating technical drawings for a range of construction projects. The company works across a variety of sectors, delivering high-quality solutions for internal construction packages.
Projects will typically include elements such as drylining, internal fit-out, and partitioning, so previous exposure to these areas would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD
Assist with the coordination of design information across projects
Work closely with project managers, designers, and site teams
Review and amend drawings in line with project requirements
Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards and specifications
Support the wider team with technical documentation where required Requirements
Proven experience using AutoCAD in a professional environment
Previous experience within the construction or building sector
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
Good communication skills Desirable Experience
Experience working on drylining, internal fit-out, or partitioning projects
Previous experience in a design coordination or technical role What's on Offer
