    Job description

    The Senior Project Manager – Battery Storage is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery and performance of battery energy storage projects from contract award through to completion and operational handover.

    The Senior Project Manager will ensure battery storage projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining high standards of quality and operational performance. The position requires strong leadership, effective stakeholder engagement, and close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex energy infrastructure projects throughout the full project lifecycle.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    Manage project planning, scheduling, resources, and risk to drive successful project execution and achieve commercial objectives.
    Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and project partners.
    Ensure compliance with contractual obligations while maintaining accurate project reporting, governance, and documentation.
    Promote operational excellence through effective planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues that could impact delivery.
    Support strong commercial outcomes through effective budget management, forecasting, and cost control.
    Ensure all project activities adhere to relevant health, safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
    Lead the full lifecycle delivery of battery energy storage projects, from contract award through construction, commissioning, and final handover to operations.
    Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with defined scope and quality standards.
    Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations to ensure smooth project delivery.
    Manage the successful handover of completed projects to operational teams and provide post-handover support where required.
    The Ideal Candidate

    Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, energy, or complex technical projects.
    Strong understanding of project management methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
    Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary internal teams.
    Demonstrated leadership in coordinating cross-functional project teams.
    Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
    Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    Knowledge or experience in battery storage, renewable energy, or energy infrastructure projects is advantageous
