As a Production Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring our production unit runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while motivating your team to achieve their full potential.
Production Team Leader - What You’ll Do
* Lead and inspire the production team, managing performance, coaching, and development to build a multi-skilled, high-performing team.
* Work closely with factory management, Quality Control, and Stock teams to ensure production targets, customer quality expectations, and deadlines are met.
* Drive continuous improvement across all factory KPIs.
* Ensure optimum utilisation of raw materials, maintaining high-quality standards.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment under the clean-as-you-go policy.
* Monitor product quality attributes, customer specifications, and ensure accurate production documentation.
* Actively support team members on the production line to motivate, coach, and lead by example.
* Enforce compliance with Food Safety, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety legislation, and company policies.
* Manage labour resources effectively, including permanent and agency staff, across one or two production lines.
Production Team Leader - Who You Are
* Experienced in junior supervision or team leadership, with ambitions to grow into supervisory or production management roles.
* Flexible, proactive, and a strong team player capable of stepping into leadership when needed.
* Highly detail-oriented, with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
* Positive attitude towards quality management, food safety, and health & safety.
* Confident communicator who can motivate and guide your team.
* Knowledge of the fresh produce industry and retailer service standards is a plus.
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to operational excellence.
Production Team Leader - What We Offer
* Salary: £29,302 PA / £14 per hour, Hours: Continental 223/223 shift pattern: Days: 08:00 – 20:00 or Nights: 20:00 – 08:00, Bonus and overtime opportunities, Auto-enrolment workplace pension (5% employer / 3% employee), Life Assurance (1x salary) and Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays (pro-rata)
