My client is seeking a motivated and practical individual to join their Fabrication & Finishing team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing manufactured components to a high standard. Working closely with the Team Leader and colleagues, you will help ensure all items meet quality requirements through careful fettling, polishing, and finishing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is energetic, detail-focused, and keen to develop their skills within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out fettling and deburring of stainless steel and mild steel components.

Operate cabinet and booth bead-blasting equipment to prepare stainless steel items.

Prepare and pre-polish stainless steel components prior to final finishing.
*
Safely use handheld power tools and workshop equipment to complete tasks.
*
Follow written manufacturing instructions and quality standards.
*
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
*
Provide support and assistance to other areas of the business as required to meet operational needs.
Skills & Experience
*
Previous experience in a workshop or production environment is desirable but not essential.
*
Familiarity with jib cranes, overhead cranes, or forklift trucks would be advantageous (training can be provided).
*
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
*
Physically capable of manual work and comfortable working in confined spaces when necessary.
*
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Package
Hourly rate £12.75 - £13.00/hr depending on experience
39hrs/week Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 16:00, Friday 07:00 – 12:00
Overtime when available time and a half
