We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join our client based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to contribute to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across Scotland. You will play a key role in the technical development and delivery of projects from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed architectural drawings, technical packages, and specifications using CAD/BIM software.
Assist in the development of planning and building warrant submissions.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
Ensure drawings and documentation comply with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
Support project teams through technical problem-solving and design development.
Produce and manage technical information during all project stages
Requirements
Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience desirable).
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
Experience working on UK-based projects (preferably in residential or commercial sectors).
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable Skills
Experience with BIM workflows and Revit.
Knowledge of Scottish Building Standards and planning processes.
Experience coordinating consultant information.
