How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Design Governance Specialist

    Permanent

    Theale – Hybrid working


    We’re looking for a Design Governance specialist with strong experience in mobile infrastructure design and engineering to play a key role in shaping and maintaining high-quality, right-first-time delivery across a complex telecoms environment.

    In this role, you’ll act as a key interface between customers, design teams, and wider business functions, managing design guidance, interpreting customer requirements, and ensuring alignment with commercial and strategic objectives. You’ll take ownership of stakeholder relationships, influence cross-functional teams, and drive consistency across design processes and delivery.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Own and manage design governance for a key customer
    • Interpret and assess customer design changes, ensuring alignment and minimal disruption
    • Create and maintain national and project-specific design guidance
    • Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and programme teams to drive effective outcomes
    • Analyse design quality and performance data to identify improvements
    • Respond to design queries and concessions within SLA
    • Support digital transformation and automation initiatives within design
    • Influence suppliers and internal teams to deliver efficient, high-quality outputs



    Must-Have Skills & Experience:

    • Strong technical design knowledge in telecommunications / mobile infrastructure
    • Experience in design governance, engineering, or design delivery environments
    • Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate complex design concepts clearly
    • Proven track record in process improvement, problem solving, and driving change
    • Understanding of commercial impact and customer requirements
    • Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and quality delivery
