How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    FRA Site Manager / Supervisor – Government Building (Fire Safety Upgrades)

    Location: Sheffield
    Start Date: 30th March
    Duration: 6–8 Weeks (Potential Follow-On Work)

    Our client is currently looking for an FRA Site Manager or Supervisor to support a programme of fire safety upgrade works on a government building in Sheffield.

    CTC or SC clearance is mandatory for this role. Candidates must already hold valid CTC or SC clearance to be considered.

    This role will involve overseeing passive fire protection works on site and ensuring the programme is delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with specifications.

    Responsibilities

    *

    Managing day-to-day site activities for fire safety upgrade works

    *

    Completing all required health and safety documentation and site paperwork

    *

    Carrying out site inductions and toolbox talks

    *

    Coordinating deliveries and materials on site

    *

    Supervising operatives and subcontractors

    *

    Conducting quality inspections and compliance checks on works

    *

    Ensuring all works are completed in line with fire safety regulations and project requirements

    Scope of Works

    *

    Fire stopping works

    *

    Fire door upgrades and installations

    *

    Fire damper upgrades and compliance works

    Requirements

    *

    Valid CTC or SC clearance is essential and must already be in place

    *

    Experience working as a Site Manager or Supervisor on passive fire or FRA upgrade projects

    *

    SMSTS or SSSTS and relevant site certifications

    *

    Strong understanding of fire doors, fire stopping and compartmentation

    *

    Experience completing health and safety paperwork, inductions and inspections

    *

    FIRAS Supervisor accreditation would be beneficial

    Working Pattern
    Works will include a mix of standard working hours and occasional out-of-hours work depending on programme requirements. It will be paid time 1.5 and is around 25% of the shifts.

    The shift paterns are 08:00 to 16:30 (day shift around 75%) and 19:00 to 05:00 (night shift 25%)

    Candidates must hold valid CTC or SC clearance. Applications without this clearance cannot be considered due to the government site requirements.
