We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a 3-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children’s home in Preston. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take the lead in delivering high-quality care and support to young people in a nurturing and structured environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care tailored to children with complex needs. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a compassionate approach to managing a team of care professionals. The Registered Children's Manager will play a pivotal role in developing personalised care plans, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards within a caring and supportive environment.
Registered Children's Home Manager Responsibilities
* Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the children’s home.
* Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations.
* Lead, support and develop a team of residential support staff.
* Ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding and positive outcomes for young people.
* Manage care planning, risk assessments and placement plans.
* Work collaboratively with local authorities, families and external professionals.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure the home is inspection ready.
Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Minimum 1 year’s experience in a children’s home management role or similar leadership position.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Passion for improving the lives and outcomes of young people.
