This is a full-time hybrid role for a Quantity Surveyor based in Derby, with flexibility to work remotely part of the time. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing costs during all stages of projects, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), overseeing cost planning and reporting, and ensuring compliance with budgets. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and coordinating with clients and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Strong skills in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning
- Proficiency in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Experience in Cost Reporting and effective communication of project finances
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations in construction and dewatering systems
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as estimation and project management tools
- Experience in the dewatering or construction sectors is an advantage
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a hybrid work environment
