    Job description

Wolviston Management Services are supporting our client in the appointment of a skilled CNC Operator to join their established machining team. This vacancy has arisen due to a recent internal move, creating an opportunity for an experienced operator to contribute to a high-performing, quality-driven production environment.

In this role, you'll be responsible for operating a range of CNC equipment to manufacture precision components, ensuring spindle time is maximised and output meets strict quality expectations.

    Key Responsibilities

Set and operate high-speed CNC machines to carry out milling, drilling, tapping, grinding and related machining tasks.
Support wider machine shop operations through safe use and supervision of additional equipment.
Ensure all tooling, fixtures and CNC programmes are prepared and available prior to production.
Maintain accurate production records, including component quantities and scrap levels.
Uphold high standards of quality across all machined parts.
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to deliver accurate machining outcomes.
Carry out basic programme edits and update tool tables where required.
Take ownership of component quality checks and documentation.
Monitor, check and replace tooling, cutters and consumables.
Prepare and load raw materials and components onto machines safely and efficiently.
Maintain lubricant levels and carry out routine machine checks.
Apply knowledge of 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining processes, including Renishaw probing.
Adhere to all health, safety and operational procedures at all times. About You
You'll bring proven CNC operating experience, a strong mechanical mindset and a commitment to producing high-quality components. Attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment are essential. A proactive, organised approach will help you thrive in this role
