Key responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will include:
Designing and developing sheet metal components for manufacturing applications.
Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support production workflows.
Producing detailed CAD models and technical drawings.
Collaborating with production and quality teams to ensure designs meet performance and compliance standards.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
Requirements for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
Proven experience in mechanical design engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in sheet metal design and BOM management.
Proficiency in CAD software (CREO experience advantageous, but not essential).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience of mentoring others as this role has the potential to grow into a team leadership role.
Background in refrigeration or chiller systems would be beneficial but not essential.
