Field Service Technician - Chesterfield (Field Based)
Location: Chesterfield - Field Based
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm
Join a rapidly growing company providing industrial gases and hazardous products solutions for laboratories, manufacturing, and technical environments. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position dedicated to the safe delivery of liquid and hazardous products, technical service work, equipment installation, and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hazardous liquid products to customers throughout the region
- Plan and manage efficient delivery routes based on tank levels and customer requirements
- Conduct pre-delivery and post-delivery vehicle and equipment checks
- Install and support gas cabinets, fume hoods, and specialist gas equipment
- Perform basic maintenance and routine servicing on tanks and delivery equipment
- Assist with annual tank inspections and engineering checks, reporting any defects found
- Complete delivery documentation and compliance records (paper and digital)
- Maintain and grow customer relationships, identifying opportunities for additional products or services
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with a clean record
- Experience as a service technician or field technician
- Strong technical awareness with the capability to install or service equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong focus on safety and ability to carry out dynamic risk assessments
- Good organisation and time management skills
