    Job description

Startup seeks engineering leadership and manufacturing know-how

This Cambridge-based engineering startup is developing technologies and products for the agricultural industries that help improve crop yields and reduce pesticide use. With growing demand for their products, they are seeking an experienced electronics engineer with a strong manufacturing background to join the team as their Head of Hardware.

You will report directly to the CTO and manage a small team of engineers. You will have full ownership over hardware development, from initial concepts and schematics through to production and product support. They are especially seeking the know-how to scale up their production and introduce the required engineering processes to guarantee their continued success.

    Requirements:

    * Significant commercial experience developing electronics or embedded hardware devices for production at a contract manufacturer.

    * Strong understanding of engineering processes and experience building and improving upon them in a real-world team context.

    * Startup or small team experience. Good understanding of how to work in a fast-moving and resource constrained environment.

    * Hands-on electronics skills. Happy and able to build and debug prototypes in a lab.

This is an excellent opportunity to have a significant impact on this promising company. They are eager to grow and improve their engineering systems and manufacturing capabilities and just need the right person to make this happen. You’ll be joining a friendly and passionate team and given real freedom to make the changes that are needed.
